Suzanne brings people, ideas, and inspiration together to help make the world a better place. She has led risk and crisis communications projects for some of the world’s foremost public health agencies, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.

Suzanne is a passionate advocate of One Health — an approach to disease prevention and management that recognizes and honors the interconnectedness of the health of humans, animals, and the environment. She has led the development of One Health risk communication materials and plans for the 15 countries of the Economic Community of West African States and the five countries of the East African Community on behalf of the European Union and the government of Germany. She is a trainer for the WHO Emergency Risk Communication Package, which helps ministries of health around the world develop effective risk communication plans and strategies. Suzanne is also the author of two children’s books about COVID-19 prevention, which have been translated into French, Swahili, and local languages throughout Africa.

She has surfed throughout Central America, seen Pushkin’s profile in the mountains of Kazakhstan, and stalked (and found!)the elusive Shoebill Crane in Uganda.
